Audio welcome from Dr Maria Garcia, GIFTA co-organiser
The GIFTA project aims to foster inter-disciplinary research on the evolution and effects of free trade agreements (FTAs) in America, Europe and Asia.
It is our wish to strengthen and build a diverse network of scholars in geographic and disciplinary terms, by bringing together economists, lawyers, political scientists, international relations and international political economy scholars interested in international trade policies, in particular FTAs.
If you are a researcher working on these matters and would like more information, please contact us.
GIFTA project organised a series of 7 seminars throughout 2015 and 2017 to bring together international scholars across Europe, Americas and Asia to reflect upon latest FTA trends, developments and effects.
Click here for the preliminary dates and themes for the workshops.
Finally, we are bringing FTA matters to the public’s attention through the production of briefs, organising public outreach presentations and events.
This project has been funded by Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) under Seminar Series 2014-16.
